Young people from The Costello School in Basingstoke talk about what they gained from the Shaping Characters exchange trip to the Czech Republic
In February 2017, 40 young people from Basingstoke in the UK, Gävle in Sweden, Olomouc in the Czech Republic and Riga in Latvia came together for a week long programme of character building activities and cultural evenings. Some of the students from The Costello School in Basingstoke were interviewed about their experiences and talk about how the week increased their confidence, opened their eyes to new career options, provided them with an insight into running their own business and gave them a greater awareness of different cultures in Europe. The activities were designed and ran by the Shaping Characters project partners and are held within this toolkit.
