Discussion and vizualisation activity to promote co-operation and team work skills
Aim: to develop the students’ critical thinking and cooperation skills.
“Think – pair – share!” is a cooperative learning strategy that shows the way how, for example, adults work in teams to achieve common goals: everyone comes with his/her ideas and then they work together to combine these ideas.
The strategy “Think – pair – share!” encourages each student, even the shyest, to participate. This improves the atmosphere in the classroom and helps students to get to know their peers. Besides, “Think – pair – share!” is an effective tool to stimulate discussions, to improve students’ social skills and to promote students’ speaking and listening skills. When pairs share their ideas, everyone learns from his/her partner.
Target group: students of all age groups
